In the south transept you will notice the huge brass lectern which was presented in memory of Prince Henry of Battenberg by Lord Edward Pelham-Clinton, G.C.V.O., K.C.B., Master of the Queen's Household (1894-1901) and second son of the 5th Duke of Newcastle.
The south transept contains some interesting memorials, including one erected by Queen Victoria to Andrew Blake '. . . her faithful and excellent Land Steward'. Another commemorates Canon Prothero (1818-1894), a Chaplain to Her Majesty, Canon of Westminster and Deputy Clerk of the Closet and Rector of Whippingham.
